Best Practices for Maximizing Insights
To fully leverage the power of the Issue Insights Dashboard, we recommend these best practices:
- Strategic Filtering: Always begin by utilizing the comprehensive global filters to pinpoint specific areas of interest (e.g., [issues](../Issue Tracker/IssueTrackerOverview.md) for a particular site over the last quarter, or high-priority [issues](../Issue Tracker/IssueTrackerOverview.md) assigned to a specific department).
- Save & Reuse: For recurring reports or focused analysis, save your frequently used filter sets. This ensures quick, consistent, and accurate reporting.
- Proactive Monitoring: Regularly monitor the interactive pie charts for emerging trends in issue statuses, severities, and priorities. This enables you to proactively identify and address potential problems before they escalate.
- Investigative Drill-Downs: Don’t just view the summary. Use the drill-down capabilities on charts and key metric cards to thoroughly investigate anomalies or fully understand the composition of any specific data segment.
- In-Depth Analysis: Before exporting, make full use of the “View Details” modals and their customizable column configurations for a thorough, in-depth analysis of your data.
- Resolution Time Focus: Pay close attention to the “Average Issue Resolution Time” and employ the “Issue Resolution Time” table, combined with targeted filters, to pinpoint bottlenecks or recognize high-performing teams/users.
- Multi-Perspective Analysis: Gain diverse perspectives on the same dataset by intelligently changing the “View by” and “Group By” options in tables and detail views.
